Invitations part II

Well well..... Now we are at my mother's working on invitations. :) Estrella, my aunt, sister, and mother are putting the envelopes together.

They are doing a great job.

Rusty Pelican Brunch Sunday

Today we went to the Rusty Pelican to have brunch. I took Estrella and my mother out so we can all go together and see the place.

The food was really good and we got a chance to see where we can do the ceremony. The hall was being used, so we couldn't see where the reception would be (but Estrella has already seen it) and besides we were able to meet Betty, one of the coordinators.

Invitations

Today Estrella worked on the invitations. After dealing with our dear ol’ friend Vista ... finally the printer and the computer made friends.

We are currently undecided on a Ceremony location! We would love to do it at the Lighthouse and the reception at the Rusty Pelican since its very close by. We got the idea while we saw a wedding setting up at the Lighthouse in Bill Baggs Park in Key Biscayne and a friend of the groom told us the reception would be at The Rusty Pelican, so it sounds like a good idea, since we want to marry on the water. We'll find out tomorrow.

Scouting out Ceremony Locations

We went to Bill Baggs Park to check out the Lighthouse area to see if a ceremony is possible. It is located in the Cape Florida, at the end of Key Biscayne. Its beautiful and breezy.

We walked around the park and went to the Lighthouse. We took the stairs all the way to top. Guess what? It seems I may suffer vertigo. When I made it to the top, I was getting that funny feeling as if I would fall forward.

It is a great view from above.

Going back down the stairs was a dizzy. I felt everything moving more on this stationary structure. :)

We really like this site. Hopefully Monday morning we will get good news and know if it is available. One of the Rangers did warn us that renovation of the area is coming up, so she was not sure it would be available.

Wedding ideas: Edgar and Doris's Wedding

Lesson 1: never underestimate Mother Nature!

Edgar and Doris’s wedding took place yesterday. It rained at the start and lots of things needed to be moved by the wedding vendors (the ceremony was going to be on the lawn, but it was moved to a covered side of the house where there is a roof.

Overall it turned out great despite the rain. This gave us lots of ideas of what to do and not do and plan for the gifts that “Mother Nature” can bring.

Expect your invitations in May! We wish for everyone to be there, unfortunately we have limited

seating in the backyard of our friend. Please let me know if you can't make it! (save a stamp and trees please e-mail, call us, or Snail-mail if you must!

Las invitaciones se enviaran en Mayo. Quisieramos que todos esten presentes, desafortunadamente el espacio es limitado en al jardin de nuestros amigos. Por favor dejenos saber si no pueden asisitir (Ahorren una estampilla y preserven a los arboles: mandenos un e-mail, una llamadita, o por el antiquado correo si quieren).

We have great news, during our 5th Anniversary, Juan popped the question ... underwater while diving with sharks on 1/26/08. http://www.vimeo.com/650790?pg=embed&sec=650790

We are very excited and project an August wedding maybe.

It will be something very simple and intimate like a beach/park ceremony and the reception at someone's home.

We wanted to share the news with you. We'll keep you posted!

Queremos anunciar que durante nuestro 5 aniversario, nos comprometimos .... sumergidos en el mar durante un buseo con tiburones.

Estamos muy contentos y estimamos la boda en Agosto. (Algo muy intimo como en la playa y una recepcion en casa de algun amigo/a)
